My academic expertise includes English Literature from 600 to 1832, and the English novel. My specialization is in medieval English and Celtic literatures. I've worked in commerical ebook and softeware development since 1989. My Website began in 1997, and I started blogging in 2002. I blog a lot. I'm a sysadmin and community manager for two very large Websites. I love the Pacific Northwest. As a devout member of the Mac cult, I bleed in five colors. My publications include multimedia software, games, consumer computer books, and academic articles on infixed pronouns, Tolkien, and instructional technology. I know lots of useless dead languages.

I've been moving West in a steady progression since high school, looking for more books to read, better beer, a decent, affordable Cabernet Sauvignon, and more coffee. I think that chocolate is meant to go with Merlot and coffee, and that sparkling wine should be an everyday beverage.
